That's why we take the time to explain health concerns, treatment options and preventative care, giving you the knowledge and confidence to make the best decisions for your pet’s ongoing wellbeing. Our clinic is fully equipped with examination rooms, advanced diagnostic tools and an in-house pharmacy, allowing us to provide timely care for most health needs under one roof.

A big part of our local community

Central Vets has been an important part of Mareeba and the wider Far North Queensland community for many years. In that time, we’ve cared for countless animals, from the smallest companions to the largest farm friends. Our small animal services include a full range of medical and surgical procedures. Our cattle services cover preg testing, bull testing, speying and disease investigation. For horses, we provide dental care, geldings, lameness workup and wound management. 

Beyond the clinic, we are also committed to improving animal and community health and indigenous communities through dissecting and parasite control programs, delivered in partnership with local councils, contracting partners and volunteer groups. We regularly travel to service a vast region, including Croydon, Chillagoe, Coen, Laura, Lakeland, Mount Garnet, Mouth Suprise, Georgetown, the Atherton Tablelands, and properties south of Kowanyama – ensuring skilled, reliable veterinary care is available wherever it is needed.
